When you study these images, consider whether darkening the walls or reversing the technique is appropriate to your Villa. Both types have been used. Also, keep in mind that the modern villa may or may not exhibit such obvious variations between solids and voids (deep pockets of space) because of shifts in technology and material properties of the built fabric. Hence, your poche renderings may refer to lightness in addition to heaviness.
