STUDIO TASK WEEK 3 - ANU- PROJECT 1

Dear Tute Group

Thanks for your spontaneous and enthusiastic participation in the informal presentation in Week 2. This is my version of Studio Task Week 3.

What we will do

For Week 3, we will not have presentations. However, you will need to attend studio for the full 4 hours to show work already done at home AS WELL AS start or complete new work in preparation for submission in Week 4. In other words, be prepared with tracing sheets, pens and pencils (and other drawing tools), tapes, drawing boards, computers, and model making materials to attend the four hours of studio with a level of seriousness and commitment.

Things you need to complete or develop (not hurried first attempts!!)

Finalized Parti Diagrams to the right scale - no incomplete tracings will be accepted - the method for making Parti diagrams could be derived by studying the Richard Meier diagram on the master blogsite and other diagrams from the links on my blogsite

Poche renderings at the right scale must be attempted - Not sketchy and vague - but developed and skillful understanding of light/dark, solid/void in section and plan - See today's postings on the blogsite for ideas

Model in Process - Some of you may already have started making the model. You can continue this process in the studio. (Some students have queries about model making that I have sent to Xing, and I am waiting to hear back but you can proceed till then).

What not to do

Dont leave additional materials like books and photocopies at home or your work at home :-) You have locker space which should be used for this.

I look forward to an inspiring studio session! I have made a number of postings on the blog site that you will find useful. Thanks and see you then. In addition, keep following the blogsite - I will upload information when I can - Also, you can use it to communicate with me.

Cheers

Anu
